Hi, 
Is it possible to restrict a certain user from receiving email notifications, as we do not want to change his/her role?

I have verified that we also can indicate just certain users to receive email notifications, but I am not sure what input format that the blank field accepts. When I type either a name or email address, it doesn't show me a list or if the input was recognized by WATS.

  No, excluding users is not available currently. If this is something you would like to see, I would add it to our idea exchange for us to consider for an upcoming release: WATS Idea Exchange – Help Center
  
  Recipients needs to be either a role or a series of emails. The series of email should be semicolon separated, much the same way as in most email clients. I agree that suggestions for WATS user emails would be useful here. I've added this as a backlog in our internal system.
