Enable converter updates from WATS Client Configure
AnsweredIn WATS Client 5.1 and 6.0 we can add a converter, but cannot update it - an attempt to select a newer version of dll results in an exception saying that file copy failed - same named file already exists.
To update a converter, one has to close Configure window (otherwise it occupies the "old" dll), stop WATS Service, swap the file manually and start the service again.
It would make much more sense to just use Configure window for replacing the dll file.

That should work. Do you place it for example on the desktop before updating?

I had it in my build folder, I also tried copying it on the desktop and adding from there. Tried with adding same file again, new build without version number change, new built with version number change - same thing every time:
I also encountered the same problems on at least three different test stations.

I'm not sure. I was able to manually replace the file or even manually remove old file and copy new one using configurator, so if it was access rights, it would have to be related to the Network Service WATS uses, and this account should have full rights to remove and modify content in WATS folders, shouldn't it?
