Integrating with asset and equippment management systems

Use case

Using a third party asset management system like trail, you want the asset module and system manager of WATS to communicate relevant data to your asset management system, and vice versa.

Loading calibration data from WATS

In cases where you want to read back actual calibration data from WATS to Trail, you can do that by making the calibration produce calibration reports in a predefined test operation for this purpose. Trail then uses the WATS REST API to load any calibration details by accessing these reports. 

Synchronizing assets - maintenance, calibration & usage data

Using Trail, or any other asset management system, you can synch or load any data related to assets, their maintenance, calibration and usage data. You can update number of times the asset has been used, its usage counter limits, as well as schedules and records of calibration and maintenance.

Synchronizing the System Manager and station information

Another option for integration with asset management systems, is to synchronize station purpose, location and update the levels of the system manager to reflect any movement of equipment from one location to another. Trail can use the WATS REST API to update information on a station and its location.
