In this interface, you can edit the settings for your existing Asset Types, or add new ones. To modify an existing asset type, edit the values directly in the grid.
By selecting a row, you can delete it using the Delete type from the ribbon. The button Manage assets will take you to the Asset manager.
Creating a new Asset type
By clicking New type +, you will see a dialog for creating a new asset type.
Here you can specify running and total count limits, and the calibration and maintenance intervals for assets of each asset type. You can also specify thresholds for warnings and alarms.
Counters & limits
The asset-monitoring in WATS rely on four different counters. The running count and total count, lets you monitor how many runs/tests/passes have been run on the asset, while the calibration and maintenance are counting down a configurable number of days until calibration/maintenance.
Running count
For the running count you can set a limit that defines the durability of one run. When this limit is exceeded you will be warned, but allowed to reset the counter (in line with internal routines) unless the total count limit is reached.
Total count
Total count defines the total amount of tests/runs/passes that should be allowed with this asset. Once the limit is reached you will be alarmed. The total counter can not be reset.
Calibration
Calibration displays days since last, and days until next calibration is due. The number of days between calibrations is set in the Asset type.
Maintenance
Maintenance displays days since last, and days until next maintenance is due. The number of days between maintenances is set in the Asset type.
Warning and alarm thresholds
The fields warning, and alarm - thresholds, specify a threshold for when (in percent) an warning or alarm should be triggered.
