Decreased support for Internet Explorer 11

Using Internet Explorer ver 11 browsing WATS may result in decreased application performance and we recommend using other browsers like Chrome, Firefox or MS Edge for general WATS use. Also note that a few WATS modules, namely Manual Inspection (OI execution), Workflow (OI execution), Software Manager and Station map, still uses the Silverlight plugin, and thus require use of IE when accessing these applications. New HTML5 based versions of these modules will be available in upcoming releases.

Background:In 2015, Microsoft released the Edge browser as a replacement for Internet Explorer (IE). Because of this, IE no longer receives updates apart from minor security patches, which causes an ever increasing gap in performance and features compared to other modern browsers. At the same time, Edge does not support Silverlight, leaving many applications in the gap between browsers.
