A common element of all WATS reports and Dashboards are the use of filters. These allows you to limit the set of data you report on. The content of the filters will vary based on the type of report you are looking at.
Ranges and wildcards
Most of the filter options support ranges and wild chars. A range can be specified by using @, e.g. 1@3 means 1 to 3 inclusive. If multiple values or ranges are specified, these must be separated by semicolon (;), e.g. 1@3; 5 means 1 to 3 (inclusive) and 5.
For single values, the following wild char syntax can be used:
•* or %: Zero or more characters
•? or _: Exactly one character
•[]: Range and/or list of characters
•[^]: Not within range and/or list of characters.
•!: Exclude filter value.
Product Group:
From the WATS Control Panel, you can make virtual product groups consisting of different part numbers. Using the product group property in the filter you can select to filter the result based on one or more of these groups.
Levels:
From the WATS Control Panel, you can make multiple virtual levels that you assign your test stations to. The levels property of the filter lets you narrow down data to stations assigned to these levels.
Test Operation:
From the WATS Control Panel, you can customize the applicable test operations used by your organization. These values will then be available in the filter settings.
Top count / min count
The top (and in some reports min) count filters lets you limit the number of records loaded in the report and displayed in the report grid. Each report has a default top count filter set. To change this filter you will have to enter a valid integer number. Changing the top count from a default of 1000 to 2000 will make WATS load 200 records. Simply clearing the filter will not have effect, and the default will be used.
Saving filters
By clicking the button a menu showing your saved filters will appear to the right. Here you can access all your saved filters, add new ones and edit the ones available.
You can also manage the content of your saved filters from My Settings (upper right corner) -> Reporting Filters
Sharing filters
You can share your filter, eighter by e-mail or a link copied to the clipboard.
