The System Manager in WATS lets you configure virtual hierarchies in your test deployments, to be used in WATS reports, dashboards, user restriction levels and the station map.
Access the System Manager from Control Panel -> System Manager
You can create four types of hierarchical levels, that you can add the test stations (WATS Clients)
These are Organization, Location, Factory and Line. You can for instance configure an organization (i.e sub-contractor), that has a location (i.e. Mexico), containing one or more factories, that again have multiple production lines
In the example above, TE-DEV-001 is the name of the test station, and has been placed under Cell1 using drag-and-drop. You can now query on the data for that specific location, factory or line in the WATS Reports, by using the Levels input on the filters.
You can also use this same hierarchy to assign user data access levels, ensuring that sub-contractors only have access to the data from their factories.
For virtual clients, (Repair Operators and Manual Inspection Operators), create multiple Virtual Clients that you distribute appropriately and link the users to.
