To uninstall the outdated WATS Test Station 2.3, follow these steps:
- Make sure you have no pending UUT reports
- Uninstall WATS Test Station 2.3 (Windows Control Panel/Center)
- Make sure the following files and folders are removed from the computer.
TestStand 3.X and 4.0:
- C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand X.X\Components\User...
\WATS_Models
\WATS_ModelSupport
\WATS_StepTypes
\TypePalettes\WATS_Types.ini
- C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand X.X\CodeTemplates\User\WATS-XXXX-LabVIEW (Delete the 4 folders)
- C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand X.X\Cfg\TestStandDatabaseOptions.ini
TestStand 4.1 and above:
Form the <TestStand Public> directory (the files/folders are located at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\TestStand XX on Windows XP and at C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand XX on Windows Vista and Windows 7):
- \Components\WATS_Models
- \Components\WATS_ModelSupport
- \Components\WATS_StepTypes
- \Components\TypePalettes\WATS_Types.ini
- \CodeTemplates\WATS-XXXX-LabVIEW (Delete the 4 folders)
From the <TestStand Application Data> directory (This directory is hidden by default and located at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\TestStand XX on Windows XP and at C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\TestStand XX on Windows Vista and Windows 7):
- \Cfg\TestStandDatabaseOptions.ini
You should backup the files you want to keep by copying them to a different location before deleting - Optionally, uninstall the Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000). Make sure no other applications use the database.
Restart the computer
