Important notice regarding TestStand 2024 Q4 support.

We have identified a bug in TestStand 2024 Q4 that prevents the release of TestStand 2024 support in the WATS Client. The issue is related to custom step types. This is a generic issue, and we have reported it to National Instruments (NI).

[updated 12.may.2025] WATS Client ver 7.0 (BETA) is now released with TestStand 2024 - 2025 Q2  support.

[updated 24.apr.2025] Latest NI release TestStand 2025 Q2 fixed the issue listed below, but also introduced a complete migration to .NET 8 (previously referred to as .NET core). This requires some more testing and verification at our end. We expect this to be completed withhin the next few weeks. 

[updated 16.dec.2024] NI confirm the bug (ID 2938931 TestStand 2024 Q4 Known Issues - NI) and will release a patch for the issue. We will release an updated version of the WATS Client with TestStand 2024 support as soon as this issue is resolved.
