The Tag Manager provides a comprehensive solution for managing tags across multiple modules in WATS, with default system tags and the ability to create custom tags for tailored use.
Where to Access the Tag Manager
You can open the Tag Manager from the following locations:
- Analytics:
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Module
- Control Panel:
- Production Manager
- Asset Manager
- Product Manager
How to Access
- Navigate to one of the modules listed above.
- Locate the Tag Manager button at the top of the interface.
- Click the button to open the Tag Manager editor.
Creating Tags
- Open the Tag Manager editor.
- Fill out the Add New fields:
- Name: (Mandatory) Must be unique and cannot contain spaces.
- Description: (Optional) Describes the tag’s purpose.
- Define Selection Value: (Optional) Defines dropdown values for the tag. Separate multiple values with semicolons (;).
- Configure the dropdown option:
- If Define Selection Value is filled, select whether using a predefined value is mandatory or optional for this tag.
- If no selection value is defined, the tag will default to optional.
- Click Save to create the tag.
- Note: Once created, the Name and Description fields cannot be edited.
The defined selection value dropdown is now accessible exclusively in Production Manager > software package > tags.
Updating Tags
- Double-click the desired tag to enable editing.
- Only the Defined Values and Option columns are editable for custom tags.
- Modify the fields as needed.
- Click Save to apply changes.
Deleting Tags
- Select the custom tag you want to delete.
- Click the Delete button.
- Note: System tags cannot be deleted.
